Fashion Emails

Smith & Caughey’s Weekly Fashion focused Marketing Emails

These selections of email marketing designs were created for Smith & Caughey’s weekly Fashion eDM sends, with the goal of elevating the digital presence of top-tier new in & highlighted fashion focused brands.

Each layout is a study in refined visual communication—balancing aesthetic sophistication with strategic clarity. Due to the great templating design from our Brand Lead, I was able to quickly and efficiently pull together the eDM. These emails were crafted not just to inform and advertise our products, but to embody the elegance and exclusivity expected in the world of high fashion—delivering a premium user experience that aligns seamlessly with brand identity.

As well as our standard design roles, myself, the Brand Lead and our Social Media Co-ordinator frequently took on the roles of in-house photographers, capturing product imagery when external assets weren’t available, or when we needed content. Whether it was for a last-minute email promotion, social media feature, or an in-store activation, this hands-on approach meant working quickly and creatively within the brand’s, and our own visual framework.

Often, these shoots supported cross-department or multi-brand campaigns, where consistency and cohesion were key. From beauty and fashion to homewares and gifting, I worked closely with stakeholders across departments to produce imagery that aligned with both brand and seasonal messaging.

This experience deepened my understanding of visual storytelling under real-world constraints, and sharpened my ability to translate marketing needs into compelling, brand-aligned content.

Copy Writing

During my time at Smith & Caughey’s, we more often than not crafted the copy for the email campaigns we designed, to ensure the tone and messaging aligned seamlessly with the visuals. Many campaigns required us to write original copy tailored to the campaign theme, while others involved adapting brand-supplied information into our own distinctive voice. This helped me develop my skills not only as a visual creative but also as a writer—bringing clarity, cohesion, and brand personality to every piece of communication.
